VAYU-MUDRA (AIR POSE)
As we know that our body is made up of five elements (Fire, Wind, Sky, Earth and Water). Each finger of our hand represents one element. The index finger of the hand represents the wind.
It has been told in the Ayurveda that there are 51 types of air disorders in our body. Vayu-Mudra cures these disorders. Vayu-Mudra is made with the help of the thumb and index finger of the hand.
When we practice Vayu-Mudra by sitting in a meditative posture like Padamasana (lotus pose) or Siddhasana (adept's pose). Than its benefit increases further.
If we use the Vayu Mudra within 12 houres after an outbreak of a disorder or disease caused by wind, we can very quickly count on improvement.
METHOD-
Sit down in the Padamasana or Siddhasana and place the both hands on the both knees; keep the palms facing up and extend your fingers. Now, bend the index finger of both hands and apply it in the base of the thumb; and now apply light pressure on the index finger with the thumb.
DURATION-
Practice the Vayu Mudra three times daily for 5 to 15 minutes.
