Gyan muddra is also called Knowledge Seal
Indian sages and monks discovered thousands of years ago that the human body is full of eternal mysteries. Human body is made up of five elements. These five elements are fire, air, sky, earth and water. When the balance of these five elements in the body worsens, than diseases arise in the body.Hand Seals are special positions of the fingers of the hand. Hand Seals begin to show an immediate effect on the body.There are many seals, Gyan-Mudra is one of theme.
Gyan-Mudra (Knowledge Seal) is also known as Gesture of consciousness and Dhayan Mudra. It has an effect on the mental, emotional and spiritual level. If we meditate and use the Gyan-Mudra, we easily get ride of many problems as depression.
Method of Gyan Mudra:-
Sit down in the Siddhasana or Padmasana and place both hands on the knees, keep the palms facing up and extend your fingers. Now place the tips of the thumb on your index fingertip, press gently. Keep your middle finger, ring finger and little finger upright.
Duration of Gyan Mudra:-
Practice the Gyan-Mudra for five to fifteen minutes. Three times a day. There are no contraindications of Gyan-Mudra.
